PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive loading device of a recording disc by controlling a mechanism transferring a moving base and a clamp mechanism elevating a clamper with the movement of a rack based on one motor and moving automatically the clamp mechanism downward after the moving base is transferred for a prescribed length. CONSTITUTION:When a recording disc 29 is placed on parts 3a and 4a facing each other of a lever 3 and a lever 4 and a close button (which is not shown in Fig.) is operated, a feeding motor 13 is rotated by a driving circuit to transfer a rack 7 in the direction of an arrow. When a moving base 1 is moved and stopped and is set to the holding state, the recording disc 29 falls onto a turntable 16. When a clamper 18 presses the recording disc 29 and fixes the recording disc 29 between the clamper 18 itself and the turntable 16, the feeding motor 13 is stopped, and the turntable 18 is rotated, and a pickup 24 starts reading.
