<p>Method and apparatus for electrophotographically producing high quality color reproductions which contain different content types. At zone E1, photoconductor image sectors are subjected to separate, component reflective exposures of portions C of component original O1 at levels adapted for good tone-scale reproduction of continuous-tone image portions C. At zone E2, the sectors are subjected to a high-contrast exposure of line-type image portions LT of component original O2. Means (18) are provided to selectively expose the areas corresponding to LT on some sectors to control color reproduction of the line information in LT. </p> |
