Process for high-temperature pretreatment by means of an aqueous so-called pretreatment solution of milled ores containing at least one beneficiating metal belonging to the group consisting of uranium, vanadium and molybdenum, the gangue of which contains clayey compounds capable of forming a stable plastic suspension in the presence of water, characterised in that, in order to avoid any preliminary calcination of the ore and to make possible easy subsequent separations of liquid and solid phases, the ore, the particle size of which is at most equal to the release mesh of the metal(s) to be beneficiated, is brought into contact with an alkaline pretreatment solution containing at least 2x10<-5> g/l of OH ions and the mixture formed is then immediately raised to the minimum pretreatment temperature of at least 120 DEG C over a period of not more than 30 minutes counting from the bringing of the ore into contact with the aqueous pretreatment solution.
|
