The machine has separately operating time measuring device automatically switched off during reaching of an adjusted measuring volume that is measured by a liquid level switch (2). Liquid is collected in a container, and discharged over a pump that regulates a fill level in the container during supply of the liquid to be measured after an actual measuring procedure. A proximity switch, an ultrasonic sensor and opto-electronic scanning or similar measurement principles are used instead of the liquid level switch for measuring the adjusted volume.
