PURPOSE:To reduce the man-hour by subjecting the surface of a core including a magnetic gap part of a magnetic head to verious processings such as metal plating, grinding, blast processing, ceramic powder melt-spraying, polishing processing, etc. CONSTITUTION:Surfaces of cores 3a and 3b including magnetic gap parts 7a and 7b of a magnetic head 1 are plated with metas 10a and 10b, and plated metals 10a and 10b in parts other than magnetic gap parts 7a and 7b are removed by grinding. The whole of a tape running face 8 of the magnetic head 1 is subjected to blast processing with a blast powder 11, and a ceramic powder having a high wear resistance is melt-sprayed to this part subjected to blast processing to form a melt-sprayed film 12. Thereafter, magnetic gap parts 7a and 7b are subjected to polishing processing. |
