PURPOSE:To prevent an excess current when a linear motor passes a zone in which a reaction plate is not mounted, in an energized state by monitoring the presence or absence of the plate at the position before the motor. CONSTITUTION:Linear motors 5, 6 are respectively mounted on trucks 2, 3, and detectors 7-10 which detect a reaction plate 11 are mounted. An inverter 16 is controlled by a gate unit 17, a DC current is converted to variable voltage and variable frequency 3-phase AC current to a linear induction motor 5. When a vehicle 1 is driven by the drive force of the motor and a signal of the detector 7 is eliminated from the result that the detector 7 is moved from a point A to a point B, the gate of an inverter 16 is reduced by the operation of the unit 17. As a result, even if the motor 5 reaches the point B, excess current is not flowed to the motor 5. |
