PURPOSE:To form stably an electrodeposited film having high quality with good reproducibility by incorporating powder from which impurities contained therein, such as an alkali-component, S, H2S, etc. are removed by hydrogen peroxide, into a nonaqueous soln. adjusted to an adequate electrical conductivity and performing electrodeposition. CONSTITUTION:The powder subjected to the pretreatment to remove impurities such as a remaining alkali-component, S, H2S, etc. by hydrogen peroxide or combining the hydrogen peroxide and an acid is mixed to an electrolyte 2 consisting of nitrocellulose dissolved in a ketone solvent in an electrodeposition cell 1 and further a strong acid such as sulfuric acid and a strong alkali such as (CH3)4NOH or the like are added to the electrolyte 2 to provide 1-30mumoh/cm electrical conductivity thereto. A DC power source 7 is impressed between the work 3 installed in the electrolyte 2, as a positive electrode, and a counter electrode 6 of Al, etc. The electrodeposited film having good film strength, smoothness and density is formed on the body 3 to be electrodeposited efficiently and further moves the life of the electrolyte 2 is extended.
