PURPOSE:To compensate dispersion of characteristics only by one-dimensional compensation and to detect a two-dimensional position highly accurately by constituting the titled device so that the two-dimensional position can be detected by a one-dimensional position detecting element. CONSTITUTION:A dichromic light source 1 turns on two colors alternately with pulses periodically by a driving pulse generator 9 and a driving circuit 10. When the dichromic light source 1 emits red light, the light is guided to a mirror 4A by a dichromic mirror 3A and formed on a one-dimensional position detecting element 7 through an optical path difference compensating lens 5B, a mirror 3B and a cylindrical lens 6 under the state that the Y coordinates are compressed and the X coordinates of the image forming position is detected by a coordinate operating circuit 8. When the dicrhomic light source 1 emits green light, the Y coordinates of the image forming position is detected under the state that the X coordinates are compressed in the same manner. The coordinate operating circuit 8 is synchronized with the pulse generator and outputs the X coordinates with red light emission and the Y coordinates with green light emission. |
