摘要 PURPOSE:To make a gas engine compact in size and ever so high in efficiency, by setting up a high temperature expansion cylinder and a regenerator in position between a heater and a cooler in parallel, while grooving a lot of annular concave grooves, which turn to a working gas passage in design, in circular form in the cooler. CONSTITUTION:When a heater 3 is heated by a combustion apparatus, working gas passes through a gas passage 27 at the heater side and flows into the inside of a low temperature space 26 via a regenerator 4, a cooler side gas passage 6 of a cooler 5 and a through hole 31 by motion of a displacer piston 10. This working gas is cooled by a cooling fin 7 while it passes a circular passage 6 and simultaneously is further cooled by another cooling fin 8 installed in an outer wall proximate to the cooler 5. In addition, the working gas is cooled and heated in the interlocking motion made between the displacer piston 10 and a power piston 9 whereby temperature and pressure both are varied to some extent so that both pistons are reciprocated inside both high and low temperature expansion cylinders 2 and 1.
