PURPOSE:To obtain a perfume carrier, obtained by adding cement in a specific proportion to fine powder of a ceramic raw material, mixing them, molding the resultant mixture and drying the molded material, and capable of giving stable aromatic action for a very long time. CONSTITUTION:A perfume carrier obtained by adding 40-5wt% cement to 60- 95wt% fine powder of a ceramic raw material, mixing them, molding the resultant mixture, and drying the molded material. For example, sintered alumina, mullite, etc. may be used as the fine powder of the ceramic raw material. Preferably, the particle diameter is <=300mum, and the fine powder consists essentially of particles having <=5mum particle diameter. Portland cement, alumina cement, etc. may be used as the cement. The above-mentioned perfume carrier having a high porosity is capable of reducing the pore diameter to (1/20)-(1/50) of the conventional pore diameter, retaining the aromatic action of the perfume for a long period and enhancing the impregnation amount of the perfume. The compressive strength is high, and the handleability and workability are good. |
