PURPOSE:To measure and display an actual fuel consumption, by respectively providing fuel flow rate sensors on the fuel supply side and the fuel return side of a fuel pump, and calculating a fuel consumption on the basis of the difference between flow rates respectively detected by both the sensors. CONSTITUTION:Fuel flow rate sensors 10 and 12 are respectively provided between a fuel tank 1 and the suction side of a primary fuel pump 2 of a diesel engine and between the fuel tank 1 and the return side of the fuel pump 2. The output of the sensor 10 is inputted to an FF18 through a waveform shaping circuit 14 and an OR circuit 16. The output of the sensor 12 is inputted to an FF22 through a waveform shaping circuit 20. The output of the FF18 is inputted to a count-down control input DWN of an up/down counter 24, and the output of the FF22 is inputted to a count-up control input UP of the counter 24. Clock pulses are inputted to a clock input CL of the counter 24. The counter 24 outputs a difference between the flow rates of fuel respectively detected by both the sensors 10, 12, that is, a count corresponding to an actual fuel consumption. |
