PURPOSE:To secure the superior reduction performance and reduce engine noise by varying a throttle valve in the closing direction and keeping the constant number of revolution of an engine during the middle reduction state of a car which aims at improvement of fuel consumption. CONSTITUTION:During the middle reduction where the brake stepping-in amount detected by a brake position sensor 18 is at a prescribed value, the engine revolution number signal in brake operation is output as it is without being corrected by a zero correction value signal. Hereafter, the speed change ratio up or down signal is input into a speed change ratio adjustor 5 through the comparison with the actually measured engine revolution number, and thus, feedback control is performed. Therefore, engine noise can be reduced, maintaining the engine brake performance conformed to the demand of speed reduction during the middle reduction and keeping the number of revolution during brake operation constant. |
