PURPOSE:To deposit recovered toner uniformly and increase the amount of the recovered toner by swinging a toner recovery box vertically by a pressing member associatively with the driving of a paper feed roller and also energizing the toner recovery box toward the pressing member by an energizing member provided to a bottom part. CONSTITUTION:When transfer is finished, residual toner on the surface of a photosensitive drum 15 is removed by a cleaning device 21 and supplied to a toner recovery tube 2 to move down in the tube through the rotation of a toner conveyer screw 1 and falls in the toner recovery box 3. Then, the toner is deposited as the recovered amount increases. A knob 6, on the other hand, rotates associatively with the driving of a paper refeed roller 23, a cam 7 abuts on the top surface of the toner recovery box 3 to presses down the whole box 3 and move up and down the box by the energizing force of a leaf spring 5 according to the quantity of displacement of the outer peripheral surface of the cam 7, thereby destroying a mountain of toner and scattering it in the box. Consequently, the toner in the toner recovery box 3 becomes uniform in thickness to increase the substantial amount of recovered toner. |
