PURPOSE:To improve a sealing property between a filter and a filter frame by using silicon gel or a viscoelastic body having the same property therewith as the sealing material. CONSTITUTION:The filter apparatus 11 is assembled on the ceiling of an air purifying chamber in a grilled form, mounted on the upper surface of a framework 12 which separates and forms the walls of passages for the fluid or the air to be filtered, and constituted of a filter 13 covering an air flow path (flow passage) 12b surrounded quadrilaterally by the framework 12 and a sealing material 15. A projection 12a is fixed on the upper surface of the framework 12, and a recessed groove 14 is formed on the lower surface of a wooden filter frame 13b holding a filter medium 13a of the filter 13 at a position conforming to the projection 12a. The silicon gel is packed in the recessed groove 14 of the filter frame 13b as the sealing material 15. The silicon gel is not flowable at 100-140 deg.C.
