PURPOSE:To improve a front view in an automobile, by making up the front end edge of a head lamp lid so as to become almost nearly the horizontal direction in a front sight when the head lamp lid is opened and thereby a head lamp is projected to a lighting-up position. CONSTITUTION:In this headlight device, a front end edge 31a of a head lamp lid 31 being rockably opened or closed as interlocking with lifting motion of a head lamp 11 is tilted from the center side to the lateral side of a car body. Under this constitution, the lid 31 is attached to the car body almost nearly at the center inside the near part via a spherical joint 32 so as to make it rockable aslant in both directions, while two coupling links 40 and 41 at the center side and the lateral side of the car body are interposingly installed between a lifting mechanism consisting of a parallel link mechanism 21 and the head lamp 11 and the lid whereby both the lifting mechanism and the lid 31 are coupled together. In order to make the center side of the lateral side of the car body rock still larger than constant motion of the lifting mechanism, at least one side of coupling points with the lid 31 or the lifting mechanism in these links 40 and 41 is set up with size from a joint 32 varied. |
