The invention relates to a toy single-thread zigzag-stitch sewing machine, by means of which a chain-stitch seam can be made either as a straight seam or as a zigzag seam.
<??>The object on which the invention is based is to provide a toy single-thread zigzag-stitch sewing machine, in which the workpiece is transported in a straight line in a longitudinal direction by a feeder and the machine needle is offset laterally in conjunction with the loop catcher. The object is achieved, according to the invention, in that the needle-bar mounting, the transmission components for the upper and lower part of the drive, the loop catcher and the feeder drive are arranged on a common transmission plate which is connected to the sewing-machine housing so as to be pivotable transversely to the direction of advance. Furthermore, there is mounted on the transmission plate a cam disc which rotates at half the number of needle-bar work cycles and which bears against a supporting web of the sewing-machine housing. The pivoting movement of the transmission plate can be set between zero, straight stitch and maximum zigzag width by means of a seam-width setter. The feeder, pressure foot and needle plate are mounted or retained on the sewing-machine housing in a known way.
