PURPOSE:To prevent the flicker generated between frames by adding the secondary carrier wave signal of an opposite phase to a video signal with the same amplitude as the color secondary carrier wave component mixed into the video signal given from a solid state pickup device and offsetting the mixture component. CONSTITUTION:A solid state image pickup device 20 is clock driven through a drive signal generating circuit 26 containing an oscillator 22 and a frequency divider 24. The video signal output 32 of the device 20 is connected to the input of one side of an adder circuit 38 via a preamplifier 34. The output 30 of the divider 24 is connected to a phase shifter 84 together with the output 86 connected to the other input of the circuit 38 via an attenuator 88. The shifter 84 inverts by 180 deg. the phase of the secondary carrier wave fsc of the input 30 to turn it into an opposite phase. Then the secondary carrier wave components are substantially offset between both inputs 36 and 90 through the circuit 38. |
