PURPOSE:To execute stable oscillation operation by observing an oscillation waveform and increasing driving currents in accordance with the observation. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams from an infrared semiconductor laser 1 are added to an infrared-ray detector 8 through a collimate optical system 3, a beam splitter 6 and a beam-condensing system 7 for monitoring, and an output from the detector is transmitted over an observing device 10 through an amplifier 9. The observing device 10 observes a laser oscillation waveform (b) synchronizing with a synchronous signal (a) from a chopper motor 4, and increases an output from a driving current controller 5 until the amplitude of the waveform reaches to a fixed value or more. When the amplitude reaches to the fixed value or more, a current fixing signal (d) is outputted, and driving currents (e) are fixed. Accordingly, stable oscillation operation is enabled. |
