PURPOSE:To continuously perform the inner surface coating of a two-piece can in a large quantity with an aqueous paint, by pre-drying and cooling the can barrel and the can bottom of a can after coating the inner surface thereof while again coating and baking the same. CONSTITUTION:The inner surface of a two-piece can is at first coated by a base spray machine 4 and, in the next step, the can barrel and the can bottom of said can are simultaneously pre-dried by the high frequency induction heating coil 12 in a first flange drying apparatus. Thereafter, the inner surface of the can 1 is again coated by a top spray machine while naturally cooled on a storage conveyor 14 and the coated can is finally baked in a baking oven 27. By this method, the generation of a flange lump is prevented and the inner surface coating of the two-piece can is uniformly performed with an aqueous paint.
