DEFLECTING ELECTRODE STRUCTURE FOR INK JET RECORDER

PURPOSE:To prevent machine-error due to discharge as well as adherence of ink to support by a method in which a skirt is provided on the printing position side rather than the support and ink mist is adhered to the skirt. CONSTITUTION:A deflecting electrode holder 110 is separated from the inlet 31' of ink mists by biasing a support 110' for attaching the holder to a carriage toward the back side, and the edgewise distance between the upper and lower deflecting electrodes 29 and 29' is made longer. A skirt 111 is provided between the support 110' and the inlet 31' of ink mists to interrupt the intrustion of ink mists. The adherence of ink mists to the support 110' can thus be almost prevented to prevent the occurrence of discharge phenomenon due to the staining of the surface of the deflecting electrode holder.
