PURPOSE:To obtain purified green tea having quality of >= certain degree independent of the skill of an operator of ine rubbing process, by making changes of values of controlling elements related to fine rubbing process into plural patterns, combining them properly to set the optimum fine rubbing conditions. CONSTITUTION:The pattern selection switch 49 is put on any of the seven completed patterns, an arbitrary fine rubbing time is set 52, and a feed order is sent to the rubbing chamber 6 which should be operated. Tea leaves which should be finely rubbed are gradually fed through the conduits 7 onto the rubbing disc 3 in the rubbing chamber 3, the weight 6 is simultaneously put on a starting position, and fine rubbing is started. As the weight 14 is progressing in the fine rubbing process using positions shown by the completed patterns written in the work range of memory as indexes, it repeats the operation to move to the positions shown by the completed patterns at each calculated step time. After the fine rubbing time is over, the weight 14 is returned to the starting position, the buzzer 46 is sounded, and the end of the fine rubbing process is informed. The heater 2 and the rubbing member 12 are respectively shown in the figure.
