<p>PURPOSE:To separate trioxane, by bringing an aqueous solution of formaldehyde containing the trioxane into contact with an inert fluid in the supercritical state, and reducing the pressure or changing the temperature of the resultant inert fluid containing the trioxane to reduce the solubility thereof. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of formaldehyde containing trioxane is brought into contact with an inert fluid in the supercritical state at 30-150 deg.C under 35-350atm to extract the trioxane into the inert fluid and separate and recover the trioxane from the inert fluid containing the trioxane. The inert fluid in the supercritical state is a fluid obtained by changing CO2, N2O, ethylene, CCl2F2, propylene, methane or propane, etc. into the supercritical state by heating, pressurizing, etc. After the trioxane is extracted, the solubility of the trioxane is reduced by reducing the pressure and/or changing the temperature to separate the trioxane. EFFECT:Apparatus can be miniaturized by circulating use of the inert fluid with little consumption of heat energy.</p> |
