PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a drain pan casing and a fan casing and contrive to lighten their weights and at the same time enable them to sufficiently withstand the loads of a heat exchanger and of a fan motor respectively by a structure wherein the drain pan casing and the fan casing are integrally molded with insulating structural material, the strength of which is nearly equal to that of sheet metal. CONSTITUTION:After both molds 17 and 18 are clamped together with each other with one rear side 15 of a metallic reinforcing part 9 being pinched therebetween, extremely reactive, special polyol and isocyanate are injected instantly under high pressure (about 80-200kg/cm<2>) through the bung hole 19 of the upper mold 18 so as to mix with each other by collision in the molds 17 and 18 in order to foam-mold at a low extent of foaming of 2-3 times. After that, the molds 17 and 18 are cooled and disassembled in order to take a drain pan casing 5 out of the molds 17 and 18. Further, a heat exchanger 7 is placed on the drain pan casing 5 fixed in an air conditioner 1 and yet fixed by a support fitting 16 and the weight of the heat exchanger 7 is received by the metallic reinforcing part 9 inserted in the drain pan casing 5. |
