<p>Process for producing a microporous structure of a polyurethane having superior properties, such as, for instance, vapor permeability, feel, appearance, light weight and mechanical strength, which comprises (1) preparing a solution or suspension of a specific ionic hydrophilic group-containing and polyoxyethylene segment-free polyurethane elastomer or said elastomer-containing polyurethane elastomer mixture in an organic solvent having limited boiling point and solubility; (2) mixing the resulting solution or suspension with water in the specific amount needed to prepare a dispersion; (3) coating or impregnating a substrate with the resulting suspension; (4) selectively evaporating the organic solvent; and (5) drying the resulting product.</p> |
