PURPOSE:To cope with the change easily and determine order of output of homonyms by designating a format for selecting category of used field when a user is changed and frequency of use of a user is changed. CONSTITUTION:A memory section of learning information of a kana (Japanese syllabary)-kanji (Chinese character) converting device is constituted of plural parts such as a general independent dictionary 18A-, a general prefix dictionary 19A-, a general suffix dictionary 20A- etc. that can store different information for each field. Order controlling sections 27, 29, 31 connected to a controlling circuit 13 and independent word, prefix and suffix buffers 26, 28, 30 are provided for the dictionaries 18A-, 19A, 20A-. A keyboard 11, a connection line and row table 17, an independent word classification table 21, an accessory word table 22 etc. are connected to the controlling circuit 13. A format for selecting category of used field is designated to cope with change of a user or change of frequency of use by the same user, and order of output of homonyms is determined.
