PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply provide a wear-resistant hard part in the leading edge section of a rotary blade, by making the ridge line of the leading edge section of the rotary blade linear from the free end to the root of the rotary blade. CONSTITUTION:The ridge line 2 of the leading edge section 1a of a rotary blade 1 is linear from the free end to the root of the rotary blade 1. In the case of that a wear-resistant hard metal cover 7 is attached to the leading edge section 1a of the rotary blade 1, the linear ridge line 2 is effective to simply and accurately fabricate the cover 7. Further, if the leading edge section 1a of the rotary blade 1 is formed in an integral structure having the same material as that of the blade body, and the leading edge section 1a may be uniformly hardened in a short time with satisfactory dimentional accuracy if the leading edge section alone is subjected to heat-treatment.
