PURPOSE:To rapidly perform the line number collation of a core only by a worker positioned at one end side of a cable, by outputting a scanning voltage signal and a collated core signal by an electric signal corresponding to the collating connection of core collation. CONSTITUTION:When a receiver is connected to the terminal R1 of the core W1 of a cable 1 to be collated in a remote side, the terminal R1 is earthed to flow a current through the core W1. Whereupon, the relay of a current detector of a station is excited to stop the counting of the counter 22 of a scanning circuit 2 for counting a clock and the ON-state of a switch 20-1 is succeeded through a decoder 21 responding to the reversal high level output of the counter 22. In this case, a sound signal corresponding to the core W1 which corresponds to the count value of the counter 22 is ouputted from a sound synthesizer circuit 5 and heard by the receiver 4 through the circuit 3, the switch 20-1 and the core W1. By this constitution, the line number collation of the core can be rapidly performed only by a worker at one end side of the cable.
