PURPOSE:To output a facsimile signal even at the generation time of under-flow by stopping the addition of an EOL code when the underflow of a buffer memory is detected at the end of a picture signal of one line and transmitting this code when the flow time is long. CONSTITUTION:For example, when a data length subject to redundancy suppressing coding is short and a transmission time of a facsimile picture signal stored in a line memory 1 is short, a line memory 2 is not occupied until the end of transmision of the picture signal and the underflow is generated. This flow detecting circuit 7 detects the underflow, then the count of a supervising timer 8 is started and indicates the stopping of addition of the EOL code to a transmission control circuit 10. When this flow time is long, the detection circuit 7 indicates the addition of the EOL code representing the end of one line to the control circuit 10 and transmits the command to a receiving facsimile terminal device 15 via a transmission section 12. The transmission of the EOL code is repeated until the counting of the timer 8 exceeds a prescribed value and when the counting exceeds the value, the transmission is stopped.
