PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of machining precision due to electrode abrasion and electrode vibrations by passing a wire electrode through a supporter and generating a discharge across this portion and a work to perform discharge machining. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 2 is fitted to the tip of a pulley holder 4 and a wire electrode 3 is passed through the pulley 2. The pulse voltage is applied across the wire electrode 2 in contact with the pulley 2 and a work 1, and a discharge is generated to perform discharge machining. Accordingly, the deterioration of machining precision due to electrode abrasion and electrode vibrations can be prevented. |
