The processing unit incorporates tools for lopping and retention, and a crane for feeding timber into it. There are two of each kind of tool, spaced apart, and arranged widthways w.r.t. each other. The crane has two grippers arranged at the same distance from both types of tools. The tools have upwardly opening grip claws, and are movable to a first end position close to each other where they are capable of receiving two timber trunks. The retention tools are further movable away from the lopping tools and vice versa to a second end position, and during this movement the timber is lopped. |
