PURPOSE:To obtain a video camera having a lens for automatic focusing with simple construction by such constitution in which a lens group for image forming is moved only by a rear lens group. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over switch 8 is connected to the side (a), the signal for the extent of the movement of a rear lens system 2 is inputted from an automatic focusing circuit 9 to a driving circuit 7, by which the system 2 is moved by as much as the specified extent and the automatic focusing operation is completed. A subject existing at an optional distance can be focused by a manual operation via a switch 11 for a near distance a power focusing circuit 10 having the switch in an infinite direction and the driving circuit 7 which permit optional setting of the extent of the movement of the system 2 separately from the circuit 9 if the switches 11 and 12 are operated in the state of connecting the switch 8 to the side (b). A video camera having the automatic focusing lens with simple construction is thus obtd.
