PURPOSE:To obtain a color photosensitive material capable of forming sufficient color even when a color formation promoting org. solvent, such as benzyl alcohol, is removed from a color developing soln. or reduced in the content by incorporating in a photosensitive material contg. a coupler a nondiffusive coupler having an N-contg. hetercyclic group having a specified pKa value in a ballasting part. CONSTITUTION:A color photosensitive material contains a nondiffusive N-contg. heterocyclic group having in its ballasting part a partial structure of H-N group having a 6-12 pKa value. As said coupler, espcially desirable ones are represeted by the formula as shown here in which COUP is a coupler residue; L is a divalent bonding group; H-N... is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form a 5- or 6-membraned N-contg. hetero ring optionally including a condensed ring, giving the H of H-N group a 6-12 pKa value; R is an org, residue; and (l) is 0-3. |
