A bobbin is formed by two bobbin parts 10, 12 having hub parts 14 and 16 which are displaceable relative to one another and are engagable in different relative axial positions and each of which carries a flange 18 and 20. Each of the bobbin parts consists of two identically designed halves which each extend over 180 DEG and which are connected to one another along an axial plane. The width of the bobbin can be matched in this way to the particular requirements. The halves of the bobbin parts can be stacked in a space-saving manner after they have been detached. <IMAGE>
