PURPOSE:To prevent shifting of a can due to inertia etc. and maintain the can on the same axial line position to a processing head by attracting the can by a magnet and carrying the can along the processing head that seams the cover of the can. CONSTITUTION:The can 4 on a conveyor 5 is pushed out forward by a lateral carrying device 7 that works synchronously with a feed claw device 14. Then, the can comes into contact with a left side guide 11 that positions one side of the can 4 and held by a magnet 18 attached over whole length of the device 11. Then, the can comes into contact with the feed claw 23 of a feed plate 20, and stopped right under a seaming head 2 by movement of the plate 20. A cover is supplied, and the can is stopped on the same axial line of a seaming head 3 and the cover is seamed. Thus, the can 4 is always attracted by the magnet and not moved by inertia etc. The can is maintained on the same axial line with the processing head, and centering becomes unnecessary. |
