<p>PURPOSE:To realize a low cost and small scale of a recorder or a reproducer by controlling a brake torque of a capstan in response to the rotating period of the capstan when stopping a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When an operation section 15 inputs a still command to a still controller 14, the direction of a torque direction controller 10 is inverted, and a reverse torque is applied to a capstan motor 6. When the capstan starts decelerating so that the period of a capstan FG9 becomes the prescribed length or longer, a retriggable MM13 inputs a pulse to the controller 14, and then to the controller 10 and an energizing circuit 11. Thus, the torque direction is returned by the controller 10, and a capstan driver 5 is deenergized simultaneously. An F/V converter 8 feeds back the speed error of the capstan to an adder 4 in a normal mode.</p> |
