<p>Title compds.I, used as anticancer, were prepd. by the hydrolysis of TV(R=C1-4 alkyl) in the precense of base. And TV were prepd. from III(X=halogen atom; n=0-1) with witting reagent. Thus, 28.6g triethyl phosphonoacetate was added to the suspension of 5g 55% NaOH in n-hexane. 20g 6,10,14-trimethyl-3,5,9,13-pentadecatetraen-2-on was added under reflux. Extracted with n-hexane and purified with column chromatography. 3.9g NaOH in isopropylalcohol was added and stirred at 50oC. Extracted with ether. Obtained oil was crystalized in n-hexane and 4.0g 3,7,11,15-tetramethyl-2,4,6,10,14-hexa-decapentaenoic acid was obtained.(mp. 78.4oC)</p> |
