A ball coupling device comprises a coupling ball 6 carried by a neck 5 detachably secured to the rear of a passenger car. The neck 5 has a part-spherical section 11 engageable in a tubular socket 8, and is detachably secured to retaining tongues 9 by a screw 14. A plate 12 secured to the neck 5 has a bore 13 for receiving the screw 14. Alternatively, the bore 13 may be formed in the neck 5, or in a lug secured to the neck 5. In alternative embodiments, the part-spherical section 11 may be replaced by a ball or part-spherical sheet metal parts welded to the end of the neck 5. <IMAGE> |
