PURPOSE:To make an optical pickup thin and extend the focus detection range by opening an actuator in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis of an object lens and providing fixedly a deflecting member in the actuator and providing a driving part with a height approximately equal to that of the deflecting member. CONSTITUTION:The actuator is opened vertically between yokes 24 and 24' and makes a light L incident to a deflecting prism 21 and makes its reflected light incident to an object lens 20. The deflecting prism 21 is provided in the actuator, namely, in a space surrounded with a bobbin 22 and a holding body 27. A driving part consisting of a coil 28 or the like and a magnetic circuit member and the deflecting prism 21 are placed at approximately equal heights with respect to the direction of an optical axis AX of the object lens 20. Thus, the optical pickup is made thin, and the focus detection range is extended. |
