PURPOSE:To confirm a set position of an original while closing a cover, by providing a cushion so as to be freely bendable on a supporting part of an original cover, and bending the cushion and making it contact a glass, in case when the cover is half closed. CONSTITUTION:Rods 29, 30 of a cushion 27 which has a V-shaped groove 28 and is freely bendable are float-fitted into guide holes 24, 26 of cushion supporting parts 23, 25 of a platen cover body 22, and a tension spring 31 is attached to the rod 30. When a platen cover 21 is started to close, the cushion 27 is bent in the shape of a chevron, and a white sheet 33 of the lower face contacts to an original 10. In this state, a set position of the original 10 can be confirmed, and when it is shifted, it is corrected by raising the cover 21. Thereafter, when the cover 21 is closed completely, the original 10 is stuck and held exactly without being shifted. |
