PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic and efficiency of a canned motor by using synthetic resin as a material of a can, thereby reducing the eddy current loss generated at the can. CONSTITUTION:A thin cylindrical can 6 is engaged with the stator core 1 and the bore of a side plate 4. The can 6 is formed of synthetic resin such as epoxy resin, polyether sulfon, fluorine resin, etc. Thus, since no eddy current flows even if an alternating magnetic flux passes the can 6, no loss occurs. To reduce the water permeability of the can 6, a plating layer can be formed on one or both sides of the synthetic resin. |
