PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and operation of a main circuit by connecting the midpoint of a series circuit of capacitors and diodes of a snubber circuit to an auxiliary power source provided outside a main power source through an auxiliary diode and an auxiliary reactor. CONSTITUTION:The midpoints of capacitors 18, 19 and capacitors 14, 15 for a snubber circuit connected in parallel with switching elements 6, 7 are respectively connected to auxiliary power sources 4, 5 through auxiliary diodes 16, 17 and auxilialry reactors 21, 22. When the element 6 is ON, the charge stored in the capacitor 18 is discharged through a route of the diode 16, the reactor 21, the power source 4, a small reactor 2 and the element 6. At this time, the energy moved to the reactor 21 is all moved to the power source 4 in a route of the power source 4, the reactor 2, the diodes 14, 16. |
