PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality by arranging threshold value in spiral when thresold matrixes are placed continuously in a device comparing input picture element information with a threshold value matrix. CONSTITUTION:An input picture element data Xi and a threshold value data Ci of a threshold value matrix stored in a memory 11 are compared by a comparator 10 so as to decide the processing of each dot. When the position of the threshold value having minimum level (0) is made different in each color and the threshold value matrixes are placed continuously, the threshold value levels are constituted that the levels are increased in spiral around the threshold value (0). When the threshold value matrix is made different at each color and recorded overlappingly, each color of the developed picture is developed at an independent position and the color reproduction is improved. |
