Process for electrolytic achromatic colouring of previously anodized objects of aluminium and aluminium alloys in colours of different brightness in an electrolyte containing a metal salt, in the presence of a dyestuff under an alternating current, with subsequent hydrothermal treatment, wherein the electrolyte contains cobalt sulphate as the metal salt and, as the organic dyestuff component for production of an achromatic colour, an azo dyestuff containing a metal complex, and the pH of the electrolyte is adjusted to 4 to 5.</p> |
