<p>The heel holder (4) and a front jaw (49) of a safety ski binding are jointly arranged on a sole plate (2) or the like which is pivotable exclusively about a pin (3) arranged in the central region. The heel holder (4) and the plate (2) are retained in the downhill position by the same locking part (18, 24, 45, 51, 64), which can be moved against the force of a single spring (12) as a function of the relative position between the plate (2) and a retaining part (5) fixed to the ski. In this arrangement, with sufficient displacement or pivoting of the locking part (18, 24, 45, 51, 64), preferably with the interposition of a control part (26, 36, 55), a lock (10, 17, 46, 52) releases the pivoting of the heel holder (4) about a vertical axis (7). A supporting member (13) is pivotable relative to the plate (2) about a transverse axis (8) and either supports the vertical axis (7) for the heel holder (4) or is fixedly connected to the said heel holder. <IMAGE></p> |
