PURPOSE:To enhance the operating efficiency of an exhaust turbo supercharger by controlling the lubricant temp. of the bearing, thereby sinking the dynamic viscous factor and reducing the loss due to friction. CONSTITUTION:When the engine is in operation with its max. power, the lubricant temp. at the inlet to a drain pipe 17 for an exhaust turbo supercharger 15 will be around 140 deg.C, that is sensed by a temp. sensor 82, and a controller 84 gives a valve degree-of-opening signal 85 as Full Closed to an electric control valve 81 to close it fully. Now no exhaust gas will flow through a lubricant heater 71, and the lubricant in a lubricant pipe 16 is not heated to pass through a temp. keeping oil pipe 72 with the temp. at 80 deg.C as it was, to be fed to the exhaust turbo supercharger 15. When the engine is then in operation with partial load, the lubricant temp. at the inlet to the drain pipe 17 sinks to approx. 100 deg.C, and the electric control valve 81 will open. Part of the exhaust gas flows through the above-mentioned lubricant heater 71, and the lubricant in the lubricant pipe 16 is heated over 80 deg.C and passes through the temp. keeping oil pipe 72 to be fed to the exhaust turbo supercharger 15. |
