PURPOSE:To perform wave damping in an effective manner as well as to make power generation attainable in a way of making the best use of the energy produced therefrom, by setting up plural bags admitting air inside each one in the underwater, while connecting each bag with a hollow pipe. CONSTITUTION:Plural bags (a) sealing air inside each one are set up in the underwater and each bag (a) is connected one another with hollow pipes (c) and (d). When a wave comes in an arrow W direction, at the foot of the wave crest, wave pressure is higher than hydrostatic pressure whereby the bag (a) tries to contract in size, while at the bottom of the wave, the water pressure is lower than the hydrostatic one whereby the bag (a) tries to expand the other way. With this constitution, inside the hollow pipe (d), there is produced an air stream in an arrow U direction and wave energy is converted into that of the air stream. Therefore, not only wave damping can be effectively carried out but also power generation can be achieved by making the best use of this air stream energy. |
