Axial piston pump

The axial piston pump has a swivel disc (27), the swivel axis (23) of which is offset in relation to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder drum (15) by the eccentricity (e) towards the upper dead centre (OT). It is thus brought about that, with a loaded pump, the swivel disc (27) is automatically set out by the resulting piston pressure forces. A spring (32), which acts on the swivel disc (27) via a body (30), serves as return force. The force of the spring (32) is designed in such a manner that, at very small pressures up to approximately 10 bar, the axial piston pump is kept in its minimum delivery position. Only when the consumer is switched on, does the system pressure rise, and the then predominant piston forces, as a result of the kinematics just described, adjust the axial piston pump to the delivery quantity which can be adjusted with a spindle (34). In this manner, a very simple and cheap adjustment arrangement for an axial piston pump is achieved. <IMAGE>
