PURPOSE:To execute smoothly an old and new switching by reading a magnetic stripe of a cover of a bankbook, making the magnetic stripe ineffective when the bank book is within an available period and also an old bankbook, and also printing a message for switching it to a new form bankbook. CONSTITUTION:A bankbook inserted into an inserting port is carried by a pulse motor P1 by an instruction of a CPU1, and sent to a magnetic stripe read and write device 3. A magnetic running detecting sensor S1 inputs a bankbook running signal to the CPU1. A bar-code detecting sensor S2 inputs a page bar-code, a new bankbook bar-code and an information of existence of a printed line of the bankbook, etc., to the CPU1. When it is confirmed that the bankbook is within an available period by reading the magnetic stripe, and it is an old bankbook by the sensor S2, the present transaction is made effective and processed, also the magnetic stripe is made ineffective, and a message is printed 2 so that a procedure for replacing it with a new bankbook is executed. In this way, an old and new switching work can be executed efficiently and smoothly. |
