CONTROLLER FOR CARD CONFIRMING TERMINAL GROUP

PURPOSE:To totalize and control the credit sale of an on-line system by providing a sale controller to perform the totalization and control of sale with the card transaction data obtained by a card confirming terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A card confirming terminal group controller (cluster controller) 1 receives data from a card confirming terminal device CAT4, a host computer 2 or a sale controller (store controller) 3 and decides the transmitter of the data. If it is decided that the data are sent from the CAT4, the controller 1 edits the data and sends them to the computer 2. While the controller 1 edits the received data and sends them to the CAT4 if the data are received from the computer 2. Furthermore the controller 1 sends the contents of a sales totalization data area to the controller 3 if an indication for totalization is given from the controller 3. Thus the controller 3 can perform the totalization and control of sale by an on-line and real-time system.
