PURPOSE:To prevent the flow reduction of the exhaust gas by providing a burning means on the wall surface of an exhaust gas passage and burning precipitates precipitated on the wall surface of the passage with this means. CONSTITUTION:A pair of a positive electrode 14a and a negative electrode 14b are buried on the wall surface of an exhaust gas passage 4 to constitute a burning means. The high voltage is applied across the positive electrode 14a and negative electrode 14b to generate a discharge between the electrodes, and precipitates precipitated on the wall surface can be burnt with the heat thus generated. |
